Gold Medal Game
Our girls played for the gold medal against the Exeter Mite 2 team. Richardson threw for 11 strikeouts and seemed to be settled in for the long haul. Our girls managed to get on base early and a big hit from Schilbe allowed Harris to score. Excellent outfielding from Oke, Boyle and Knoblauch made for little to no advancement of the opposing base runners. A field play by Arnold-Foran to Baker made for a huge out. This led to another chance at bat. A big triple from Richardson let the charge once more. The final outcome was 5-6 in favour of the opposing Exeter Mite 2 team.All in all, it was an excellent weekend with our girls winning a Silver Medal. What an accomplishment girls. Way to go!!!
