General Information (Exeter Minor Ball)

Exeter Minor Ball is planning for a full baseball and girl’s fastball programming for the 2023 season.
 
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Our online registration for the 2023 season will go live January 15, 2023 and will run until March 1, 2023.

Government legislation requires all sport administers to providing participant/registrant compliance and mandatory waivers.

We have created an online registration platform to ensure that these mandatory requirements are met. (eg. Rowan's Law; concussion information)

The form is located on our website under the registration tab.

You must register by March 1st to ensure yourself a spot on a team!

Registering early helps the executive determine team numbers and availability of diamonds to ensure another great ball season for everyone, so REGISTER EARLY!!!!

SHIRTS

- Players will be receiving their own shirts to keep at the end of the season, we will need to know your shirt size with your registration
**Shirts this year are a little different from last year, we will be offering 2 nights to try on the jerseys for sizing
January 18 - 5:00 to 7:00pm at Stephen Arena
January 25 - 5:00 to 8:00pm at South Huron Rec Center

TRYOUTS
- Players wishing to tryout for an OBA team (Boys) or ORSA/OSSTA team (Girls) will be subject to a $40.00 tryout fee

- Players selected and rostered to play OBA baseball or ORSA/OSSTA will be charged an additional playing fee.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

We will continue to have a volunteer requirement much like other local minor sports organizations have. Our organization needs to raise funds over and above the money collected through registration for things like equipment, uniforms, diamond times and of course umpires. Additional funds raised also helps keep registration costs as low as possible.

Due to the success of our tournaments last year we are planning to host tournaments for both fastball and baseball teams in varying age groups again this year. Running a tournament or other event takes a lot of hard work and many hands to make it go smoothly. Each family is expected to fulfil a volunteer requirement for each registered child with Exeter Minor Ball. The non-participatory fee is $200 per child that is registered on either the Extremes fastball or Express baseball side.

Teeball is NOT exempt from the volunteer requirement.

The fee are not meant to be punitive and it is our sincere wish to not cash any cheques from any family, so please make sure you are using the opportunities that are offered to volunteer, as it will be your responsibility to make sure you fulfill the requirements.

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST

1. 2 separate cheques are due at registration.

   • Registration fee dated April 1, 2023 

   • Non-participatory fee dated September 1, 2023

2. Mail to Exeter Minor Ball by March 10, 2023 at: P.O Box 133, Exeter, ON N0M 1S6

NOTE: A spot on a team will not be held until all payments and deposits are received.
Registrations received after March 1, 2023 will not be accepted unless stated otherwise.

**Players born in 2017 with no previous baseball experience are recommended to play

teeball for a season before registering for Pre-Mite or Minor Rookie.
