Our girls played for the gold medal against the Exeter Mite 2 team. Richardson threw for 11 strikeouts and seemed to be settled in for the long haul. Our girls managed to get on base early and a big hit from Schilbe allowed Harris to score. Excellent outfielding from Oke, Boyle and Knoblauch made for little to no advancement of the opposing base runners. A field play by Arnold-Foran to Baker made for a huge out. The second game ended in a 15-12 score with Exeter Mite 1 claiming the win. Both teams were looking for victory to advance to the finals. Our girls came out swinging and with that were able to connect in a big way. Big hits from Baker, Taylor and Knoblauch led the scoring. Key infield plays from Harris, Oke, Brown and Boyle made sure to keep the Fullerton players in check while on base. Superb pitching from Sydney McBride with 6 strikeouts also aided with the victory.

Their first game started saturday morning with an early 8:00 am start. The girls played against the host Mitchell team with Exeter nailing a 10-1 victory. Despite the cold damp/ gloomy weather, pitching by Erin Oke and Krista Richardson played a role in the win with 11 strikeouts. Big infield plays from Sailyn Arnold-Foran, Paige Taylor, Mady Brown and Chloe Harris kept the opposing team from advancing the bases. Our season opener ended up as a loss but was a great learning experience for our girls.Fantastic pitching by first timers Krista Richardson, Erin Oke and Sydney McBride. Also great outfield plays by Mady Brown, Sarah Knoblauch and Kayleigh Boyle. Infield plays made by Paige Taylor, Shailyn Arnold-Foran and Chloe Harris with great backstop by Hallee Schilbe and Bryanne Baker. Coaching staff is proud of them.
