Mite 2, 2012, Fastball (Exeter Minor Ball)

WOW!!! What an exciting game between the 2 Exeter Mite teams. With only a few walks all game, the bats were alive tonight. Big hits and exciting field plays made this game a nail biter. Mite team #2 came out on top in the last inning by ONE run. Great pitching by Cassidy Campbell, Olivia Masse and Charlotte Gregus. What a great game to watch!! Final score was 15-14.

Came across tough competition in Mitchell this past thursday night.  First time pitcher Sherry Wedlake impressed us all.  In the end we came up short in runs in the last inning ending with out first loss. Final score was 6-8 for the opponents. Great effort girls!

Despite the wet and cold weather this past weekend Exeter Mite#2 team won three games in a row to bring home the gold medal in the Mitchell Fastball Tournament! Gold medal game was against Exeter Mite#1 team and it was a nail biter. It was such a close game with the final socre being 6-5. Congratulations to both Exeter Mite teams winning gold and silver. Great job girls!!! Mite#2 are back in Mitchell on thursday night hoping to keep our winning streak going.

The girls had a great game on tuesday night coming up with a win against Stratford. We had a successful last inning making the final score 9-7. This win will give the team a 3 game winning streak! Good job girls!!! We are ready for a fun tournament in Mitchell this weekend.

Exeter Mite #2 Team has started the season off with a bang!! 2 wins against Exeter #1 and Tavistock. Impressive pitching by Charlotte Gregus, Cassie Maier, Jaden Masse and Grace Poppe. Great base running and big hits in both games. We have our first road trip to Stratford next tuesday and we are getting ready for our first tournament in Mitchell. Sure to be an exciting weekend!! Great first week girls!!!!
