2021 Season Update
Hello All,

We hope you are doing well and staying safe!

At this time with the Provincial Lockdown still in effect we felt it was important to outline the current plans for Exeter Minor Ball for 2021.

The Executive is committed to providing the best baseball experience we can in 2021. We must adhere to the various levels of Government restrictions and the Return to Play protocols of multiple Associations to maintain a safe environment for our players.

Currently our plan is to do the following:
- Plan, prepare, be agile and be ready to launch baseball activities in early June (or as soon as the lockdown is lifted and pending our Health District colour zone and the Municipalities approval to be on the diamonds)

- Practices and skill development would occur for June to get into game shape for each team (pending our Health District colour zone)

- OBA teams (boys) would be selected through a tryout process and play in an Exhibition loop

- July 5this the target date to begin games with other Centers in our region (pending our Health District colour zone)
    - Playing in a 3-team pod for 2 weeks, then a week of practices and then a new 3 team pod for the next 2 weeks and so on

- Games would continue through to the end August

- Tournaments will not be a reasonable option until the restrictions are much improved

The Huron-Perth Girls will not run a league this season we have been advised. Therefore, we will be setting up exhibition games with other local centers to conduct the same format as listed above.

Tee Ball and Pre-Mite will be in-town play as we have done in the past.

We encourage all participants to supply their own equipment.

With the reduced season and likelihood of no tournaments being played, we expect less volunteer hours to be required by each person. We will not be cashing cheques until we have some clarity on the Provincial lockdown restrictions being lifted and/or when our Health District colour zone allows us to get together.  At that time registrants will be given the opportunity to confirm their participation in our Ball Season.

As always, we need to be flexible and agile as we navigate the process.
Please keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for updates.
