Innerkip Tournament
The girls won 2 of 3 games on Saturday in their round robin play and advanced into Sunday's finals!!

The Extremes were up early Saturday morning to be in Innerkip for an 8:00 tilt and looked wide awake as they clobbered a strong New Hamburg squad 17-6 in a 3 inning mercy. Samantha Andrews drew the start and struck out 7 of the 9 outs needed in this quick victory! The offence, as expected by the score was spread throughout the order with 8 of the 14 girls reaching base on every plate appearence. They were Hannah Tait, Erika Foran, Aaliyah Earle, Morgan Lewis, Brooklyn Rau, Hannah Drager, Lianne Talyor and Andrews. Well Done Ladies!!!
In our second match we played a fiesty select mite team which was made from 3 different towns to make a 10th team in the tourny. Someone forgot to tell these 10 yr olds that they were playing against older girls as they held their own in this game and in the tourny by eventually beating a team. Exeter #2 ended up winning 13-9. Starter Hannah Tait fanned 7 batters and also had a homerun at the dish.Emma Keller & Brooklyn Rau aslo got in on the long ball action as they pounded out  homers. Reaching  base on every plate appearence in this contest was Kyla Chapman, Hannah Drager, Morgan Lewis, Lianne Taylor, Samantha Andrews and Hannah Tait. Playing strong defence to preserve the win was Allison Gorman and  Maddi Livermore
Our third game of the day we took on a very strong Brantford team and ended up losing 8-2 in an entertaining affair. It was a real pitchers duel with their pitcher striking out 9 of our 15 outs and our pitcher Samantha Andrews striking out 12 of their 15 outs. Two timely hits with runners on for Brantford ended up being the difference. Playing well in the field for the Extremes was Sydney Rowcliffe and Kennedy Borland. The loss meant we had to return on Sunday to face Brantford again in the semis.
On Sunday Exeter scored 1 in the first inning and held the lead until the bottom of the 3rd when the wheels fell off and Brantford scored 6 and never looked back in a 9-1win. Hannah Tait went 2 for 2 at the plate. We went back with "Sammy" on the mound and she continued her brilliant pitching striking out 13 of 18 outs.We faced some quality pitching against Brantford and will be better batters in the future for this!

Hold your head high girls as this team of 11 from Brantford was picked from close to 50 girls!!

Go Extremes!!
