Mite Tournament Rules & Regulations

1.       CASA and PWSA rules will apply including the “courtesy runner” substitution for the Catcher Rule

2.       Home team will be decided by a flip of the coin at home plate by the Plate Umpire in pool play only.

3.       Teams must be ready to play at least 15 minutes prior to the posted game time.

4.       If there is a 7 run spread at the end of 5 complete innings (4 ½ if the home team is ahead) or 10 run spread at the end of 4 compete innings (3 ½ if the home team is ahead) 15 runs after 3 complete innings (2 ½ if the home team is ahead) it will be considered a complete game.

5.       Points:  0 for a loss.  1 for a tie.  3 for a win.

6.       Pool Play Order will be determined as follows:

1. Points: 3 for a win and 1 for a tie
2. Head to Head
3. Formula : (Runs For+Runs Against)/Runs Against - with higher number getting the higher rank
4. Coin Toss

7.       The home team will be the games official scorekeeper.   TEAMS are responsible for reporting the final score to the Tournament Registrar (outside of AG Building behind arena)following completion of the game.

8.       NO INFIELD WARMUPS AT ANY TIME, STAY OFF THE INFIELD PLEASE!! 

9.       The home plate/base umpire is responsible for administering the game time limit.  The official start time will be confirmed by the home plate/base umpire at time of the first pitch.

10.   In case of any dispute, the Umpire’s decision will be final.  The game will be decided on the field of play.

11.   The Tournament Committee reserves the right to amend the tournament format should unforeseen circumstances prevail.

12.   All players bat and unlimited substitution is allowed on defense.

13.   No New Inning after 1 hour and 15 minutes of Start time, Round Robin Only.  (After First Pitch)

14.   Ties stand after completion of game in ROUND ROBIN, ONLY!

15.   All Playoff Games will be 1 hour and 30 minutes from Start Time

16.   Any Coaches ejected will get a 1 game suspension, 2nd ejection will be a tournament suspension. Any player ejected will be for that game, 2nd ejection will be a 1 game suspension, 3rd ejection will be tournament suspension.    ALL COACHES are responsible for your spectators.

17.   5 runs per inning cap for all Divisions.

18.   All League Rules apply!!!
